In their hometown of L.A., a recent performance by the Gwendolyn and the Good Time Gang was described like the second coming of Beatlemania, with kids shrieking and
rushing the stage. Developing a following on the East Coast, this West Coast band will be touring through New England with a stop at the Children’s Art Museum in Shelburne Falls, organized by Hilltown Families.
Both children and pop-art aficionados will enjoy this seven-piece band whose lead singer, Gwendolyn Sanford, dresses like a rag-doll with knee socks and exaggerated blonde pigtails. Their music has aired locally on both the Hilltown Family Variety
Show and Spare the Rock, Spoil the Child radio shows on WXOJ-LP 103.3FM (Northampton, MA). And their music video “Farm Animal Friends” has been played nationally on Noggin.
QUOTES:
“Gwendolyn and the Good Time Gang, one of those rare kiddie albums that’s endearing to tots but has enough weirdo musicality to make it appealing to adults.” - LA Weekly
“Gwendolyn and the Good Time Gang adds to the kids music genre what the Muppet’s added to the prime time TV landscape when I was a kid.” Sienna Wildfield, Hilltown Family Variety Show (www.hilltownfamilies.org)
